Women's conference draws in-person, virtual crowds

ST. JOHN | Women participated in person and via livestream on Saturday for the third annual Northwest Indiana Catholic Women's Conference.

Themed, "Waiting in Joyful Hope," the conference took place at St. John the Evangelist church. About 150 women joined in person, a limited number due to COVID-19 safety precautions. Women had their temperature taken via forehead at the conference entrance. They were required to wear masks and were seated apart during the event. Bottles of hand sanitizers were included in their gift bags, and larger bottles were stationed around the church narthex.

The women heard in-person talks from Coleen Kelly Mast, Jen Settle and Jesse Romero, and they watched a video a video presentation from the Sisters of Life, who were not able to attend in person because of COVID-19 restrictions.
