Responsibilities

  • Oversee buildings and grounds
  • Manage custodial functions and staff
  • Ensure that the facilities are fully operational with all utilities functioning properly
  • Schedule and supervise maintenance repairs
  • Ensure that facilities are clean and well maintained
  • Coordinate all set up and take down for activities and rentals
  • Handle the maintenance team’s schedules and time sheets
  • Prepare the yearly budget for the facilities and contractors
  • Manage and review service contracts
  • Check completed work by vendors and contractors
  • Forecast, allocate, and supervise the financial and physical resources of the facility management
  • Maintain cleaning supplies stock levels
  • Review and implement facility safety and security measures
  • Maintain ongoing communication with the pastor, supervisor, contractors, the maintenance team, and other staff members

Qualifications

  • Strong project management skills
  • Communication skills
  • Basic computer skills
  • Knowledge of general maintenance methods, operating requirements, and safety precautions
  • Must be a well-organized, detailed, kind, self-starter
  • Strong scheduling, procurement, and negotiation skills
