St. Mary of the Lake in Miller, IN has an excellent Part Time, (approx. 8-16 hours per week), career opportunity for a Communications Coordinator.

Reporting to the Pastor, the Communications Coordinator is responsible for visioning, planning, scheduling and coordinating all outside communications. In collaboration with the Pastor, Deacon, Parish Life Coordinator, office staff or Ministry leaders, duties include overseeing and facilitating church communications through printed, written, verbal and online media.  This person must lead in strategies in social media relations and communications, while promoting and creating good will for the overall mission of the parish.

  • Minimum requirements include a Bachelor's degree or currently in training in a communications or marketing related field.
  • Experience within a social media background, as well as work experience in communicating information, news and events, is preferred.
  • Candidate must have knowledge and love of the Roman Catholic Church including its structure, teachings, and doctrine, and be a practicing Catholic in good standing.
  • Competent in computer hardware and software programs including webpage design, Facebook, Publisher, Photoshop, InDesign, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, photo editing, Outlook or similar software applications.
