The Diocese of Gary has an excellent career opportunity for a Payroll Administrator specializing in ADP software.  The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in understanding the role of being a fiduciary and remitting payroll withholding amounts on a timely basis.  The Payroll Administrator will process the Pastoral Center’s biweekly payroll as well as process payroll for various other Parish/ School locations.   The Payroll Administrator will maintain and retain adequate payroll records in accordance with Diocesan retention policies.  The Payroll Administrator will be the point person for all Diocesan locations under the central ADP payroll processing platform, assisting to solve payroll questions and issues encountered in processing payroll.

The most qualified candidate will also understand the integration of payroll expenses and liabilities into a general ledger accounting system.  Knowledge of wage and hour laws a must. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, both verbal and written, excellent attention to detail and strict adherence to confidentiality.  Finally, excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to consistently meet deadlines is necessary.
